Alberto Abalo brings over 10 years of insurance and risk management experience to his role as an advisor to Level Insurance. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst.
Alberto currently serves as Second Vice President and Actuary in the Corporate Actuarial department of Munich Re, US (Life), where he specializes in statutory and tax financial reporting and is responsible for the implementation of principle-based reserving processes.
Prior to joining Munich Re, Alberto was a founding Principal of the US Life actuarial consulting practice of Oliver Wyman. In that role he advised clients in matters related to product development, M&A due diligence, pricing, and financially motivated reinsurance.
Alberto holds a Master’s degree in Actuarial Science degree from Georgia State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Quantitative Science from the University of Florida. He is the past Council Chair for the Society of Actuaries’ Predictive Analytics and Futurism special interest section, and is a frequent speaker at industry events.
